Join Our Design Systems Team
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to help build and evolve our design system that powers products used by millions of people worldwide. You'll work at the intersection of design, engineering, and product to create scalable, accessible, and beautiful components that enable teams to ship faster while maintaining quality.
As a Senior Product Designer on the Design Systems team, you'll be responsible for defining the visual language, interaction patterns, and component architecture that shapes the user experience across our entire product ecosystem. You'll collaborate with product designers, engineers, and product managers to ensure our design system evolves with the needs of our users and business.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
1. Design and maintain a comprehensive design system including components, patterns, guidelines, and documentation that serves multiple product teams.
2. Partner with engineering to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs and maintain design-development workflow efficiency.
3. Conduct design audits across products to identify inconsistencies and opportunities for systematization.
4. Lead design critiques and workshops to evangelize design system adoption and gather feedback from stakeholders.
5. Create prototypes and conduct usability testing to validate design decisions before implementation.
6. Establish and maintain accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) across all components and patterns.
7. Collaborate with brand and marketing teams to ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
1. 5+ years of product design experience with at least 2 years focused on design systems or component libraries.
2. Expert proficiency in Figma, including advanced features like variants, auto-layout, and component properties.
3. Strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and ability to collaborate effectively with engineers.
4. Portfolio demonstrating systematic thinking, attention to detail, and ability to balance consistency with flexibility.
5. Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
6. Excellent communication skills with ability to present and defend design decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
Nice to Have:
1. Experience with design tokens and multi-platform design systems (web, iOS, Android).
2. Knowledge of React, Vue, or other component-based frameworks.
3. Experience with design system documentation tools (Storybook, Zeroheight, etc.).
4. Background in visual or interaction design with strong typography and layout skills.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $220,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.
